Convicted killer who escaped TN prison captured in Missouri after dayslong manhunt
The Tennessee prison search that brought a rising reward and neighbors' safety concerns has ended with an arrest in another state. WKRN News 2 reports that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed Jacob Morley's capture outside Kansas City, Missouri.
Morley was serving a life sentence for murder at Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville. The station's report traces his escape through a perimeter breach in late October, then shows surveillance footage of him taking a white Ford truck nearby. That truck was later found abandoned in Illinois.
The update closes with a photograph of Morley in handcuffs. According to the report, Missouri State Highway Patrol used Flock technology to locate him and take him into custody.
The brief capture report drew about 52,000 views in seven hours, an unusually large response for a station whose Shorts typically receive hundreds of views on their first day. For readers following WKRN News 2's earlier manhunt coverage, the significant change is straightforward: the search has moved from appeals for information to confirmation of an arrest.
