Privacy

The site is free to read. There is no registration: we do not ask for your name, your email address or any other detail that identifies you. The site never asks you to sign in with Google or YouTube, so it has no access to your Google or YouTube account.

What we record when you read the site

To run the site, improve it and suggest stories you may like, we record how it is used:

• a cookie named trari_v, holding a random code that lets us recognize a returning browser; it is renewed on every visit and expires a year after your last visit;
• which pages you open, which videos you play, and which stories or links you click;
• the page that brought you here, your browser's language and its type;
• the IP address of the request.

None of this includes your name or email address. Our web server also keeps ordinary access logs (address, page and time), as every website does, for security and operations.

What stays in your browser

Your preferences - the edition you chose and the stories you read last - are saved in your own browser (local storage) and are used there to order what we suggest. They are not sent to us.

YouTube on our pages

Pictures of channels and videos are shown from YouTube's servers. Videos play in YouTube's embedded player, in its privacy-enhanced mode: the player loads only when you click a video, and from then on YouTube may place and read cookies of its own on your device, under the Google Privacy Policy.

When you write to us

If you report a story, write to us through the contact page, or ask us to cover a channel, we keep what you gave us - for example your message, the channel link, and your name, email address or Telegram name if you chose to leave them - together with the IP address and the time, so that we can handle it, answer you and prevent abuse. If you asked for alerts about a channel, we use your email address for those alerts only, and every alert has a link to stop them.

How we use the information, and who receives it

We use it to run the site and keep it secure, find faults, learn which stories are read, improve the site, suggest stories to you, answer you and send the alerts you asked for.

Inside Trari, only the people who run the site see it, and only for these purposes. Outside Trari, it is processed for us by the companies that provide our hosting and email services, some of which operate outside Israel. We do not sell your personal information, and we pass it to others only when the law requires it.

Your choices

You can delete or block the site's cookies in your browser; deleting them disconnects you from what was recorded before. You can also ask us to delete information about you, through the contact page or the report button on any story.

Creators: the site shows public information about YouTube channels and videos - names, pictures, titles and public counts. To correct or remove information about your channel, use the report button on the story or write to us through the contact page.
