Paris Pride, postponed by a June heatwave, marches on Speeches Uncut

The same weekend brought Flávio Bolsonaro's last campaign motorcade before Brazil's vote and a housing march through Madrid.

"LIVE: Paris LGBTQ+ Pride Parade — Crowds March Through the City" is the newest upload on Speeches Uncut, the Reuters-licensed clips channel whose about page promises full speeches, unedited. The parade itself is running late: the description explains it was moved from its usual late-June date because of a record-breaking heatwave, and so Paris marched in October.

It was one of fifteen uploads, and the week read like a world map of weekend crowds. Flávio Bolsonaro, the eldest son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, closed his first-round campaign with a motorcade through the interior of São Paulo state, on the last day campaigning was allowed before Brazil voted. In Belgrade, Aleksandar Vučić, who served as Serbia's president from 2017, addressed a rally at Belgrade Arena ahead of the October 25 parliamentary election. Madrid appeared twice: a housing protest over rents and evictions, and a counterprotest at the Puerta del Sol camp. The most momentum, oddly, belongs to the one video with no speaker at all, an animated map of ships moving through the Strait of Hormuz.

The audience was slower than usual, with the channel drawing roughly a quarter of its normal daily views and about 37,000 for the week. Among similar news channels it was a quiet stretch here, while Hook Global had by far the biggest week in the group.
