Still climbing, and faster. As we reported here, LifeStory's short about a South Carolina school bus driver spent its first day at around 4,000 views before it took off. Five days after it went up, it has passed 300,000, and the latest day alone added more than half of that.

The tags name the man at the wheel: Charles Frierson, known to his riders as Mr. Charles, who drives bus 220 in Berkeley County. LifeStory is a clips channel that retells real stories of kindness. Its about page explains that the narrator's voice is AI-generated while the stories themselves are true. Here the story belongs to the driver and to a kindergartner on his route, and the title sums it up: Mr. Charles noticed what others missed.

The comments, about 500 more of them since the day before, keep returning to what he did next: seeing the little boy as he was, helping him find his footing and ending up a friend to the family. Some viewers remember their own drivers by name and bus number. One writes about a childhood spent feeling invisible and wishing someone had noticed her.

The whole channel is drawing about twice its usual daily views, and most of that comes from this one short. School buses are something of a thread for LifeStory lately. A week earlier it posted a short about a driver who braided a girl's hair after a loss, and its newest upload turns to Officer Kenneth Knox, who cleared the airway of a two-month-old baby who had stopped breathing.
