Joe announces he is peeing in the pool, and the swimmers applaud
Silly Jokers' newest Impractical Jokers short ends on a high five, the moment its comment section keeps talking about, a day after Joe's almond emergency passed two million views.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 508,285 views a day, 16 times a normal first day on this channel (31,709).
Least Freaky Joe Task 💀😭
Posted two days ago, "Least Freaky Joe Task" passed 650,000 views in its first 29 hours. That is a big start for Silly Jokers, a clips channel that recuts moments from the hidden-camera comedy Impractical Jokers, where a new short usually closes its first day closer to 30,000.
The premise is simple and awful. Joe stands in a crowded pool and starts shouting that he is peeing right now and that everyone needs to get out. He keeps yelling it as he pushes his way through the water, and the other swimmers look at him like he has lost his mind. Then the ending: as Joe climbs out, the crowd starts clapping and a man walks over to give him a high five. The description lets the reader in on it: the whole thing was a bit.
That ending is what the comments are about, and they arrived about seven times faster than on a usual first day. Viewers single out the applause and the high five, and a running joke has formed that everyone in the pool was doing it and Joe was simply the only one honest enough to say so.
It is the channel's second Joe short to take off from the same day of uploads. "He Had An Emergency At Work," in which Joe treats an almond allergy in a virtual reality hospital, has kept going since we covered it and has now passed two million views. Sal carried the next day's uploads, with a haunted house of candles and a cafe crisis about someone named Natalie, but Joe's pair is still the one drawing the most views.
