An almond 'emergency' sends Joe to a virtual hospital on Silly Jokers
The Impractical Jokers short drew more than 150,000 views in its first six hours, and its comments are mostly about who was laughing hardest off camera.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 383,683 views a day, 15 times a normal first day on this channel (25,839).
He Had An Emergency At Work 😂🔥
"He Had An Emergency At Work" is a short from Impractical Jokers, posted on Silly Jokers, a clips channel that recuts moments from the hidden-camera show. The setup is a classic Jokers mess. Joe eats almonds at work, which, in the bit, he is allergic to. He skips the real hospital, straps on a VR headset and tries to get treated in a virtual one, in front of strangers who have no idea what they are watching.
The clip went up on October 2. Six hours later it had passed 150,000 views, on a channel where a new short usually finishes its whole first day near 26,000. Its other recent uploads, including another Joe short set in a swimming pool and a Q clip from a charity event, are each well short of that.
The comment section is about the people behind the joke. Viewers say the others are always having too much fun in the back, and several treat Sal as the measuring stick: if he has collapsed to the floor laughing, the bit landed. One sharp-eyed commenter notes that the box Joe insists has no almonds in it is topped with almonds. Another points out that real VR players move with handheld controllers, not by walking.
One viewer admits they stopped watching after Joe left the show. Joe Gatto stepped away from Impractical Jokers at the end of 2021, so clips like this one come from the show's earlier run, which is exactly the archive Silly Jokers keeps digging into.
