"Hi baby!": Florence Pugh rings YUNGBLUD for Greg James' Sit Down Stand Up

Her second Breakfast Show clip in two days has already passed her first, the one where she met Big John.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 216,918 views a day, 13 times a normal first day on this channel (16,474).

"Hi baby!" When Florence Pugh called YUNGBLUD"Hi baby!" When Florence Pugh called YUNGBLUD

Florence Pugh picked up the phone for Greg James' Breakfast Show, dialed YUNGBLUD, opened with "Hi baby!" and then asked the only question that matters in Sit Down Stand Up: is he sitting or standing? The description adds a confession from James himself, who admits the whole game is mostly a nice excuse to ring famous people.

The short went up on October 2 and passed 150,000 views within 13 hours. A short on BBC Radio 1 usually finishes its entire first day at around 16,000. The comments are not a flood, but there are still twice as many as a typical short gets in a full day. Viewers talk about his accent, about Pugh's acting, and about how good it must be to be greeted by her with a breezy "Alright Flo."

It is Pugh's second big moment on the channel in two days. A day earlier, Radio 1 posted her getting starstruck by Big John, the Breakfast Show favorite with the catchphrase "BOSH!", and that clip is past 130,000 views. The YUNGBLUD call caught up with it in half the time.

The rest of the station's week was lively too: a long Ali Plumb interview with Daisy Edgar-Jones about Sense and Sensibility, Troye Sivan guessing songs played sped up and slowed down, and New Music Live sets from Cardiff Tramshed. Two days running, though, it is Pugh who has held the room.
