Woody and Buzz Celebrate 20 Years of Toy Story at the Oscars!
On a usual day this clip of Woody and Buzz picks up a few thousand views. On its latest day it drew about 85,000, more than on the day before, and at seventeen days old it now sits just behind Jimmy Kimmel's roast of Robert Downey Jr. among the channel's recent uploads.
The title still says twenty years, which was true when the two toys walked onto the stage of the 88th Oscars in 2016. Toy Story came out in 1995, and the most liked comments do the arithmetic for everyone: the movie is now past thirty.
The description promises the old pairing from Andy's room, and the comments say they got it. Much of the talk is about the two doing impressions of each other, with Buzz needling Woody until Woody is the sulky one for a change. Several viewers are delighted that the famous 'Buzz, look, an alien' gag makes it in. Others replay the first film from memory. One well-liked reply points out that Woody never meant to knock Buzz out the window, only behind the desk, so Andy would pick him for Pizza Planet.
The rest of the channel's week has been comedians: Chris Rock on Russell Crowe and Jon Stewart on the Vanity Fair party. Two cartoon toys have outdrawn them both.
