Video surging 27x the video's usual pace

Cops pull up for a giant fish, and the comments keep saying 'undersized'

A five-day-old clip that barely moved on its first day is now one of INCIDENT TV's busiest, in the same week the channel passed a quarter of a million subscribers.

Why this story? The video is running at 2,124,504 views a day, 27 times its usual pace (77,548).

Among clips channels with around a quarter of a million subscribers, INCIDENT TV draws an unusual crowd. On a normal day it pulls in several times the views of channels its size such as WONDD, War Veterans and NailsAreCute, and a strong week has pushed it further ahead.

The surprise of the moment is not one of its newest uploads. "Cops Pull Up For a Giant Fish!" went up on Tuesday and spent its first day at about 21,000 views, a quiet start for this channel. Five days later it is gathering around two million views a day.

Like everything here, it is someone else's footage, re-edited by the channel, and the title does not say who filmed it or where. The premise is right there in the name: a group of officers swings by for a closer look at a very large catch. The comments supply the rest. Over and over, viewers repeat one word from the clip, "undersized," a deadpan verdict on a fish that is obviously nothing of the kind. Others fix on the sharp turn the officers make as they arrive, which several compare to a drug bust, and a few want to know why the music is so dramatic.

The fish has plenty of company. The "psycho" Lambo clip, posted the same day, is closing in on nineteen million views, as we reported here, and "They Had No Clue!" and the firefighters' rescue have each passed six million. Along the way INCIDENT TV crossed 250,000 subscribers, about 42,000 of them gained in the past week.
