Video surging 16x the video's usual pace

A puppy saga in an AI voice, and the comments that call it invented

A three-week-old short tagged for Jordan Matter's family channel passed three million views on Royalty Boiz, where the most liked replies argue the story was simply made up.

Why this story? The video is running at 260,918 views a day, 16 times its usual pace (16,658).

"Salish tried to keep the dog #jordanmatter" is one chapter in a puppy serial on Royalty Boiz, a clips channel that retells moments from family vlogging channels in short, narrated episodes. The run began with "Salish competed for a puppy." and continued with "Salish failed the puppy," all posted within a few days in mid-September. The girl at the center of the title is the young star of Jordan Matter's channel, and the hashtag points there. The short itself comes from Royalty Boiz.

Posted on September 14, the clip had been ticking along quietly. Then it picked up more than a quarter of a million views in a single day and passed three million in total. It did not move alone. "Ferran Lost He's Dog #royaltyfamily," the other dog story, as we reported here, kept climbing beside it, and the whole channel drew about four times its usual daily views.

The channel's about page says plainly that parts of its voiceovers and visuals are AI-generated and do not represent anyone's true thoughts. That explains the split in the comments. Many viewers write to the girl directly, as if she had told them the story herself, and send her get-well wishes. The most liked replies take the opposite view: they point out that the voice is synthetic and that the narrator invented the tale.
