Consoles, pets and football teams: JBIN CLIPS YT's name game keeps dealing
Five days on, the second console short has passed one and a half million views, and the channel stands at 570,000 subscribers after adding 116,000 in seven days.
Why this story? The channel went from 454,000 to 570,000 subscribers this week.
The short doing the heavy lifting on JBIN CLIPS YT is now five days old. "The First Letter of Your Name is Your Video Game Console! |Pt.2|" went up on Tuesday and has passed one and a half million views, far beyond anything the channel has posted since. Over seven days the channel added 116,000 subscribers and now has 570,000.
As we reported here, the idea is simple: pick out a detail about yourself, and the short tells you what it "makes" you. What is new is how quickly the channel has moved the same game into other territory. "Your Year is Your American Football Team!" matches a birth year to a team, and it is the quickest starter among the newer uploads, close to a hundred thousand views. "The First Letter of Your Name is Your Pet!" hands out an animal instead of a console. "Your Month = Your Halloween Costume!" switches from initials to birth months, with October in mind.
One upload breaks the pattern. "How to make a Butter Squishy Without Using Wax!" sets the game aside for a quick craft short.
Views on the channel are running at about three times their usual daily pace. Maybe the newer games are still catching up with the console sequel? The about page promises interesting facts and interactive content, and this week nearly every upload leaned toward the second.
