In Luisi's newest skit, a sister takes her younger brother shopping for his first car, and he leaves with a Lexus LFA. Posted two days ago as the second part of the story, the short passed 120,000 views in a little over a day, far beyond where his shorts usually stand after their first day.

The joke works because of the car. Lexus built only 500 LFAs, between 2010 and 2012: a carbon-fiber supercar with a high-revving V10 that collectors still chase. So a 2012 model handed to a beginner is the punchline, and many viewers say plainly that an LFA as a first car is absurd. Some call it their own dream car.

Most of the talk is about scenes. Viewers keep coming back to the negotiation, with both siblings working the salesman, and to the brother's promise that he won't get into an accident with it. The ending gets just as much attention, with the father's reaction when the news reaches him. One sharp-eyed viewer points out that the pair also bought a Lexus LX and never told Dad about it. Several are already asking for a Part 3, and a few compliment Luisi's new haircut.

Cars have become a steady thread for the channel. Earlier in the week, "When the rich friend isn't a car guy" reached its seventh part and passed 100,000 views of its own. Between the shorts, Luisi also posts longer commentary videos, most recently one asking whether we are going too far into the future.
