A 'Who remembers this??' throwback, and a Nirvana debate, for Nisha Noelle
The family short passed two million views in seventeen hours, in the same week the channel reached the two million subscribers its about page still asks for.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 2,439,621 views a day, 21 times a normal first day on this channel (116,260).
Who remembers this?? 🥹😅
A new short from Nisha Noelle usually ends its first day with somewhere around 116,000 views. "Who remembers this?? 🥹😅" had passed two million just seventeen hours after it went up. By then its comment section was already more than three times as busy as a usual first full day.
The title asks viewers to look back, and the comments answer in kind, with plenty of talk about how things were "back then" on a channel built around Nisha, Nate and their kids. The description states the short's message plainly: being short, or looking younger than you are, is a good thing.
The liveliest thread under it has nothing to do with the family. One viewer asked whether Nirvana is a band or a brand, and more than a hundred replies piled in to settle it. For the record, Nirvana is the Seattle band behind "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
Saturday was a busy day on the channel. Three other shorts went up alongside the throwback, among them "It's October 3rd 💖," a nod to the date Mean Girls made famous, and the "Love me 💖dance trend!" None of them came close to the throwback's pace. Meanwhile the about page still reads "Help us reach 2 million!", a mark the channel reached this week, and a few viewers used the busy comment section to say congratulations.
