Clarice Starling's credentials have had considerably more scrutiny since Foxtel's last note. The Silence of the Lambs clip has reached roughly 136,000 views, making it comfortably the most watched of seven new uploads and the channel's busiest video right now.

Anthony Hopkins's Lecter asks Jodie Foster's FBI trainee to bring her identification closer, then spots its approaching expiry date. Viewers are discussing the tiny movements in Hopkins's performance, particularly his eyes as he inspects the card, alongside memories of first watching the film on video.

Foxtel's channel crossed 700 million lifetime views during the week. These are promotional excerpts for the service's film and television catalogue, and horror supplied much of the new selection: Isabelle Adjani in Possession, the opening of A Quiet Place and that unnervingly polite introduction to Lecter.

The fresh Honey Don't! excerpt brings Honey O'Donahue and MG Falcone into the mix. It has the next strongest daily viewing among the channel's active uploads, though on a much smaller scale than Lecter. An older Breakfast Club clip also remains among the busiest.

Across the catalogue, daily viewing is moderately above Foxtel's usual level, while subscribers grew modestly over the week. Among nearby television and streaming channels, Channel 4 had a bigger viewing week and E4 a quieter one. Away from the film tension, Foxtel also found room for a Tokyo style upgrade on Luxury Escapes and an allergy-season segment from Gen Well.
