Yung Miami describes the end of City Girls without a dramatic final confrontation. She and JT reached an impasse, she tells Jason Lee, and went their separate ways. The affection has not simply disappeared with the partnership.
That distinction sits at the heart of her return to The Jason Lee Show on BETNetworks, which drew about 111,000 views in nine hours, far beyond the channel's usual opening pace for regular videos.
Asked about "Dear JT," Miami explains that writing gave her somewhere to put feelings she was struggling to process. Their history matters: they were childhood friends before they were a rap duo. But expressing those feelings in a song does not mean she wants to keep revisiting the split.
"I just put on the song how I feel, and I'm moving forward," she says. Later, when Lee asks whether she misses JT, Miami explains that there is no hatred, even as they follow separate paths. BET's accompanying Short about "Dear JT" is also drawing views much faster than its usual Shorts.
There is a friendship still firmly in place, too. Lee plays a clip of Saucy Santana calling Miami his best friend, and she describes the support they give each other. It offers a useful contrast to the questions about what ended with JT.
Beyond the music, Miami says she wants to return to Caresha Please and do more acting. By the closing stretch, she is bringing her Resha Roulette game into Lee's interview.
