Jiu-jitsu and surf with Kade and Tye Ruotolo, from Windows

Microsoft's channel also put up a placeholder for an October 7 livestream on Windows, Surface and NVIDIA, while a three-generation VFX video keeps drawing the crowd.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Microsoft's Windows channel does not usually spend its time on a grappling mat, but its newest film follows Kade and Tye Ruotolo from the gym to the water. "Iron Sharpens Iron" is a short portrait of the twin brothers, who, the description says, have trained in jiu-jitsu almost since they could walk and are 21 now. The tags add surfing and fishing to the fighting, and the title promises both training and a session in the waves.

The Ruotolos have built one of the best-known names in submission grappling, with ADCC titles to their name and a high-profile run in ONE Championship. The comments read like a gym bench: one viewer remembers watching a Ruotolo match at the first Craig Jones Invitational, another says he grew up with their father, and someone is already counting down to a title fight on November 6. The most liked joke is about timing, getting this crossover before GTA VI.

The other upload is a placeholder. "Something new is coming from Windows | October 7" sets up a live event for that morning, with Surface and NVIDIA, and something called RTX Spark aimed at developers and builders.

The video with the most momentum is older: "3 Generations of VFX Artists Blow Up The Same Building," which brings Fon Davis, Eric Mancha and Ada Vychopnova together from practical models to digital effects, is close to 600,000 views at nineteen days old.

Overall the channel ran a little below its usual daily pace, and among technology channels of its size it was one of the quieter ones. Android had a big week; amazon was quieter still.
