WORLD CHAMPION MCNULTY RETURNS! 🍿 | 2026 Men's Giro dell'Emilia Final KM's | TNT Sports Cycling
TNT Sports Cycling posted the closing kilometers of the Giro dell'Emilia on Saturday under a title built around one rider: "WORLD CHAMPION MCNULTY RETURNS!" The channel bills Brandon McNulty, the American, as the world champion back in action at one of Italy's autumn classics. Fourteen hours later the clip had passed 240,000 views. A new video here usually ends its whole first day below 20,000.
The race has a stage few others can match. It finishes at the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, on a steep hill above Bologna, and the riders take the climb several times before the line. One of the more liked comments calls it a favorite race of the year, for the scenery, the architecture and the low autumn sun on the final ascent.
The rest of the comment section has its own view of the headline. Several viewers ask, half joking, whether anyone spotted McNulty in the footage at all. The most liked comments are about Matteo Jorgenson, who, as viewers tell it, spent the finale shutting down every move from the chasing group while his Visma teammates rode clear ahead. Tom Pidcock is the other big subject: strong, by most accounts, but in many viewers' eyes he attacked too late. A few comments salute Davide Piganzoli by name.
The Giro dell'Emilia was not the channel's only busy clip of the day. The finale of the women's road race at the European Championships, titled "PURE DOMINATION!", also opened at about four times a usual start, and a separate clip has Demi Vollering talking about her second European title, won in Slovenia. In a quieter post, the channel looked back at Nairo Quintana filling the streets of Madrid with his 2016 Vuelta win, a farewell as his career comes to a close.
