Michael Myers in letter notes: The Ruby Piano's Halloween theme returns for October
A tutorial posted last November is back near 850 views a day, with Dolly Parton's '9 to 5' and an easy 'Für Elise' close behind it.

Michael Myers Halloween theme piano tutorial
The Ruby Piano posted nothing new, and the channel did not seem to notice. Views are running above their usual daily pace, somewhere around 135,000 a day, and the video doing the most work is almost a year old: "Michael Myers Halloween theme piano tutorial."
It is a natural pick for early October. John Carpenter wrote that theme himself for his 1978 film, a jittery five-four pattern that sounds harder than it is, which makes it a good fit for a channel that writes songs out in letter notes so beginners can play by ear. Posted last November, it has passed 120,000 views and is now picking up more each day than anything else on the channel.
Behind it sit two very different tunes. Dolly Parton's "9 to 5," only five weeks old, is still finding players, and an easy version of Beethoven's "Für Elise" from the spring keeps ticking along. A slasher theme, a country anthem and a piano recital standard: that range fits a teacher whose about page says she taught herself by ear as a child, when lessons were out of reach, and later earned degrees in music and teaching.
Among music lesson channels of similar size, the drummer Colby Fulton and the guitarist EMIL VERGO are having big weeks, well above their usual pace, while Adam Neely and Steve Stine are a touch quieter than normal. The Ruby Piano sits in between, busier than usual without a single new upload, carried for now by a horror film's theme.
