Perfect Weapon, the PS1's most imperfect game, keeps Rerez busy
No new episodes went up, and the 82-day-old Just Bad Games entry on a forgotten PlayStation brawler draws more daily viewers than the three-hour Sonic '06 epic.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Worst PlayStation Game Ever: Perfect Weapon - Just Bad Games
Rerez calls itself the home of Just Bad Games and The Worst Ever, and with nothing new posted over the week, the channel lived off exactly that: other people's mistakes, lovingly catalogued.
The one doing the most work is "Worst PlayStation Game Ever: Perfect Weapon - Just Bad Games," posted in July and now past 350,000 views. The description promises the most imperfect PS1 game you will ever play, and the title makes a bold claim for a console with a very long library.
Behind it sits the series' grand monument. "Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) - Just Bad Games" was the show's 50th episode, a run of more than three hours that walks through Sonic's, Shadow's and Silver's stories, the DLC and even the fan remake Project 06, with Glass Reflection lending a voice. Nearly two years on, it has passed 1.25 million views and still finds new viewers every day. Lara Croft's turn in "Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness" is the third title viewers keep opening.
Subscribers held at 439,000, and views ran just under the channel's usual pace. Among similar gaming channels, ENDYMIONtv and Maka91Productions had the busier weeks, while Larry Bundy Jr, another collector of gaming oddities, was quieter. For a channel built on the worst of gaming, a week without uploads still had plenty of bad games to watch.
