Kalona, act by act: Maka91Productions maps every Gears of War: E-Day collectible
Five act guides and a near two-hour full-game cut went up in six days, with a trip to a friend's wedding wedged between Act 2 and Act 3.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Gears of War: E-Day - Act 2: 100% Locations Guide - Collectibles, Hard Cases, Supply Caches, etc
The full-game guide is barely a day and a half old, and it is already the channel's busiest video. It stitches the whole of Gears of War: E-Day into one long walk of just under two hours, from the first chapter, Emergence, to The Fall of Kalona.
It arrived at the end of a week spent almost entirely in that one game. Maka91Productions, the channel built on guides and walkthroughs, posted the campaign one act at a time, and Act 2 is the big one, close to 100,000 views. It earns them. Its second chapter, Hold the Line, fills nearly half an hour of the video on its own, and the most popular comments are about exactly that: one viewer says the chapter felt like a full book, another spent two days hunting a final hard case that turned out to be the very first one.
The gap before Act 3 had a reason. Maka told viewers in the comments that he was away for a friend's wedding, and asked for patience. Readers also asked for the classic intro back, and longtime viewers mentioned using his guides as far back as the Dirt 3 days.
The channel as a whole ran at its usual pace and picked up about a thousand subscribers. Among the gaming channels near its size, Mortismal Gaming and Nintenduo World added more views, while GameLinked was having a quiet stretch.

@TheFourDirections99See it on YouTubeMan I've been racking my brain for the past 2 days looking for the last hard case I need and it's actually the very first one that I missed 😭
@GaryJojoSee it on YouTubeThere is quite literally no guides like yours out at all for this game and I speak for all of us completionists when I say we will be waiting to play Act 3 patiently until your next video!
P.S. Please bring back your intro! I almost stopped watching when there wasn’t that classic intro at the start, thought I had the wrong guy.@dman12885See it on YouTube
