Ranking Best MJ Dance Imitations 😭

Who does Michael Jackson best when Michael Jackson is not in the room? Polar Ranks, a clips channel that gathers other people's videos into countdowns, put the question to its viewers in "Ranking Best MJ Dance Imitations 😭", and the answers in the comments are not all human. One viewer points out that a car pulls off a moonwalk; others keep returning to a grandmother who drops into a split, and to number five, which apparently needs no further explanation. The King of Pop's moves have been copied on every dance floor since "Billie Jean" first moonwalked onto television in 1983, and this list is a tribute in the loosest, funniest sense. It has passed three and a half million views in five days.

It was one of only two uploads, and the second is moving even faster. "Ranking Minecraft Items In Real Life 😭" went up on Friday and has already passed two million, taking the game's blocks, tools and oddities out of the screen and judging how they hold up in the real world.

Together they have lifted the whole channel: its daily views are running at more than twice their usual pace, and an older countdown of leg cramp moments, now 18 days old, is still pulling in a steady crowd. Among clips and compilation channels of a similar size, only Kind Otter is drawing a comparable daily audience, while Hurly is close to its usual rhythm and most of the others are quieter than normal.
