When Eagles Dare - Episode 4 | THE OLD ENEMY
A usual day on Crystal Palace's channel brings in around 24,000 views. Over the international break it has been running at roughly half that, which is what tends to happen to a club channel when the club is not playing.
What filled the gap was history. Two episodes of When Eagles Dare, the club's documentary series, went up on consecutive days. Episode 4 carries the title "THE OLD ENEMY", a phrase Palace supporters will read one way only, and its comments turn to the past: one viewer names Wilf as the greatest ever to wear the shirt, another spots Dwight Gayle in an old Peterborough United side, and a third recalls a match from a hard season as the one that sums up what the club is about. Episode 5, "STANDING ON THE EDGE OF GREATNESS", followed the next day and finished level with it, and it is the one still drawing the steadier crowd. Short teasers for both, and one sending people back to Episode 1, rounded out the series' week.
The rest was the training ground. A CCTV-style film of the players working through the break did well on its first day, with a short cut of it close behind. Then, on the last day, came "EVERY GOAL SCORED AGAINST NOTTINGHAM FOREST", a Premier League compilation that is already gathering views faster than anything else on the channel.
Subscribers held at 409,000. Among the football channels around Palace in size, the Women's Super League and JS.COMPARISON had the busy weeks, while Fulham, just below in subscribers, ran even quieter than Palace.

@starlobster4771See it on YouTubeNo matter the shitty we faced... We deliver! We already won wonderful and outstanding trophies but that burst of raw emotion in that shitty place was utterly mesmerising...🤯🤩😭 I vividly recall each and every second of those moments. Don't get me wrong but that match was massive! Pherhaps because it summarises what Crystal Palace is all about! Lovely stunning...🎉🎊 Glad All Over ❤️💙
