Luke Littler's all-time Man United XI, picked in front of Paul Scholes
The darts star built his team from players he saw himself, and the comment section is still arguing over who he left out.

Scholes STUNNED by Luke Littler’s all-time Man United XI! 🤯
A darts champion picked the team. Luke Littler, the teenager who became world champion in January 2025, sat down with Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt on The Good, The Bad & The Football and named his all-time Manchester United XI. The title says Scholes was stunned.
Littler is a well-known United supporter, but he was born in 2007, the year Scholes was still winning league titles in midfield. So the side he chose is a United of his own memory. Viewers who have been counting say it has Antonio Valencia at right back, David de Gea in goal and Marcus Rashford ahead of Ryan Giggs. That last choice draws the most replies by far.
Not everyone is grumbling. A large share of the comments takes Littler's side, arguing he picked players he actually watched rather than reciting names from before his time. Others find the exercise a little humbling, realizing how different the club looks to someone under twenty. One viewer makes a long case for Valencia, a winger turned right back in his late twenties. A few note that Scholes seems looser and funnier than usual.
The Short had more than 160,000 views in its first twelve hours, far beyond the podcast's usual first day for Shorts, and its comments came in about four times faster. A sister clip from the same day, asking whether Steven Gerrard gets into United's all-time XI, did well too, though not on this scale. A day earlier, the channel had already asked whether a penalty or a bullseye is harder to hit.

What viewers say
Fair play to him. He’s picking players he’s watched. Usually you get people who’ve never seen the player saying how good they were. Respect Littler.
@chrismiller93See it on YouTubeI feel sorry for the kids that never got to see players like Scholes, Keane, Giggs play in their prime
@TheTreasonKidSee it on YouTubeGenuine respect for the kid here, he’s actually making the team based on who he’s seen playing!
His right back choices are Valencia and Young 🤷🏻♂️😊@no9scrumSee it on YouTube

@Ayah_MiaSee it on YouTubeDidn't realise how different a perspective people under 20 have on the club. We took it for granted but we lived through the best days we'll ever have
@grassrootsfootball225See it on YouTubeThis was so cool. Scholesy had a different personality for this interview. Funny. Both of them are.
@jaymorales3078See it on YouTubeValencia was really good at right back. Strong fast, great one on one , good positioning and really good going forward. He's not rated there because he was only moved back there from right wing in his late 20's. He was as good as any right back in the prem at the time .
@SethKing1234See it on YouTubeForgot how young he was for a minute. Jeasus now I feel old naming de ghea ahead off Peter and Edwin. And patrice ahead off irwin. And bruno in all star 11.
