Lindsay Clancy, Horn Island and Presley Gerber: fifteen uploads from Nancy Grace

A Massachusetts judge's ruling after the Clancy mistrial gave the channel its busiest new video, two days after it went up.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Nancy Grace put up fifteen videos over the week, and almost every one of them followed a case already in motion.

The week opened with a field trip of sorts. In "NOLAN WELLS BRUISES, SNAPCHAT BOMB, DRY LUNGS, ON ISLAND AT 5PM," Grace goes to Horn Island, off the Mississippi coast, and walks the place where Nolan Wells was found dead. It became the week's most watched upload, a little over 200,000 views. Its comment section is crowded with calls for justice for Nolan and with arguments over who should be handing over information, the family's side or the investigators. Many viewers push back on Grace's own framing of the case.

From there the channel moved through a string of courtrooms and investigations. One video covers the guilty verdict against Caleb Flynn, a former American Idol contestant, in the shooting death of his wife. Two follow the death of Presley Gerber at a sober living home: one looks at the facility's owner, who was denied a license and has drug arrests on record, and the other is a short clip of newly released video from the hours before his death. Another looks at the sudden deaths of two Ole Miss students, with kratom found at the scene.

The video with the most momentum right now is about Lindsay Clancy. Weeks after her case ended in a mistrial, her defense now disputes whether she killed her children, and a judge has denied her motion for a not guilty verdict. That two-day-old upload is drawing far more each day than anything else on the channel.

Overall, the channel ran at about half its usual daily pace, and its subscriber count held at 1.07 million. Among true crime and courts channels of its size, the big weeks belonged to Matthew Cox and Mike Rafi. Willie D Live and Law&Crime Trials were also running below their usual pace, and Nancy Grace landed in the middle of the group.
