Donuts, weighted chin-ups and a 'Troy Physique' for Greg O'Gallagher at 35
His day-in-the-life video was the week's most watched upload, and its comment section keeps circling back to his tan and his sweet tooth.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
This Exercise Transformed My Physique | Day in the Life of Greg O’Gallagher
Greg O'Gallagher spent the week showing off the body he has been selling since 2011. Kinobody built its name on the lean "Hollywood Physique" from training two or three days a week, and seven new uploads made the case from different angles: a 55-pound biceps curl PR, a short titled "Peak shape 35 years old natty," and one simply called "Haters say Ai."
The biggest of them was "This Exercise Transformed My Physique | Day in the Life of Greg O'Gallagher," which passed 60,000 views. Viewers who wrote under it talk about the weighted chin-ups, about a deep tan that several compare to 1980s Schwarzenegger and Stallone, and about food. A short from earlier in the week, in which Greg calls donuts one of his favorite foods, became the running joke, with one viewer wondering what to do with a stockpile of Rice Krispies Treats. Another of the most liked comments makes a different point: that Kinobody was saying years ago what fitness audiences are only learning now.
The newest short, "Troy Physique," is the one moving fastest, a nod to the sword-and-sandal look of Brad Pitt's Achilles that the channel has long held up as a goal. It drew close to 30,000 views in its first day.
Around it, the channel as a whole ran well below its usual daily pace, and the count of subscribers held steady over the week. Among fitness channels of a similar size, Chari Hawkins and instructor_bensei had the busier weeks.
