How good is the Skechers Aero Burst? Jeremy Miller's viewers ask about the price

A shoe review from mid-September is suddenly drawing tens of thousands of views a day, while Jeremy's new film about a 100-mile race through the Swiss Alps sits beside it.

Why this story? The video is running at 82,800 views a day, 38 times its usual pace (2,185).

Jeremy Miller posted "How Good is the Skechers Aero Burst Running Shoe?" on September 14, and for three weeks it behaved like an ordinary shoe review, picking up a couple of thousand views a day. Then it started pulling in around 80,000 a day, more than all its earlier days had averaged many times over, and it has now passed 120,000 views in total.

The timing is odd. Jeremy's channel, which he describes as a record of his running and fitness journey with training tips and the occasional travel vlog, had plenty of newer things to watch. Just days ago he posted "The Hardest 100 Miles of My Life," his account of the Swiss Alps 100, a 160-kilometer mountain race that the description says climbs about 33,000 feet. A garage gym build and a half marathon run-along came out the same week. Yet the shoe video is the one moving fastest. It is not clear what sent new viewers to it.

The brand itself is part of the conversation. Several commenters say they always thought of Skechers as a comfort or kids' brand, and others balk at the price. One viewer, who just bought a pair, writes that nothing at that price has felt as comfortable on long runs. Another notices that Jeremy seems to call every shoe his favorite and asks which one really is.

One small compliment keeps coming up: how easily he talks while running. For a channel built on long miles, that may be the best review of all.
