Ohio keeps paying off. Drew Lynch's newest short, posted on October 5, is a stand-up bit about Jungle Jim's International Market, the huge grocery store in Fairfield known for aisles of food from around the world. It passed 100,000 views in its first nine hours. A Drew Lynch short usually ends its whole first day under 30,000.

The premise is in the title: Drew says he is cultured now because he went grocery shopping. He spent the end of September on Ohio, including a short on September 30 that compared the state's city names to the noises you make stepping on a Lego.

The most liked comment says everybody caught a stray in this one. Others call it a masterclass in stereotypes, and one simply says it was beautifully written. The likes came in more than twice as fast as on his usual first day.

The comment section also turned local. People who grew up near the store call it the best grocery in America, recommend the original Fairfield location over the newer Eastgate store, and send visitors to the cigar shop. One regular teases Drew for skipping a famous detail. Two viewers say they were in the audience for the set, and one names the Funny Bone in Liberty Township, just up the road from Fairfield.

It was a busy week for Drew. His introvert short from October 3 has passed a million views, and a Philadelphia crowd-work video went up the same day as the Jungle Jim's bit. He is also promoting Wrap It Up!, five nights from December 26 to 30, billed as one introvert, one extrovert: Drew and a partner named Joe.
