iOS 27.0.1 arrives, and iDeviceHelp chases the bugs it was meant to fix

Three uploads followed Apple's first patch for iOS 27, from a day-one checklist to a follow-up the title says nobody expected.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

What happens to an iOS channel when Apple ships its first bug fix? iDeviceHelp spent the whole week on it. Three uploads went up, and every one of them circles iOS 27.0.1, the patch the description sums up as important bug fixes.

The first, "iOS 27.0.1 - Do This IMMEDIATELY After You Update!", came out the day the update did and drew the biggest crowd, past 140,000 views. Its comment section reads like a help desk. One owner of an iPhone 15 Pro describes a frozen screen that needed a force restart. Others bring Face ID failures, twitchy keyboard haptics, a camera that jumps lenses on an iPhone 18 Pro Max and, more than once, the battery. A few just want to know why the update has not shown up on their phone yet.

A day later came "iOS 27 - CRAZY iPhone BUGS!!!", and then on Friday a follow-up, "iOS 27.0.1 - Did NOT Expect This!". The description promises little beyond the words "Follow Up", but its tags point at Face ID and a coming 27.0.2. It is the channel's quickest mover right now. Further back, the launch-day "iOS 27 - First Things To Try!" has passed a million views at three weeks old.

The channel as a whole ran at about half its usual daily pace. Among technology channels of its size that is no outlier: Jeff Geerling, 9to5Mac and WULFF DEN were also below their normal rhythm, while Digital Doctor had another enormous week and Hugh Jeffreys more than doubled his usual pace.
