A 125cc Madass joins Garbage Time's fleet of nuggets

The week's only upload pits a scooter-engined motorcycle against the channel's own slow machines, and passed 370,000 views in six days.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The nugget motorcycle of all time 🏍️The nugget motorcycle of all time 🏍️

"The nugget motorcycle of all time 🏍️" is the newest entry in a long-running Garbage Time project: collecting the most gloriously underpowered vehicles money can buy. The channel's about text sums up the whole idea in one line of mock praise for that mighty fleet of nuggets. This time the nugget has two wheels. It is a Madass, a small motorcycle built around a 125cc scooter engine, with a name that does half the comedy on its own.

The comment section has opinions about the size of it. The most liked comment demotes the bike from nugget to the sauce packet that comes with one, and several viewers joke that its top speed must depend on what the rider ate for lunch. Some of the most useful comments come from other parts of the world: a European viewer notes the Madass was also sold there as a 50cc moped, and others point out that 125cc bikes are everyday workhorses in their countries, not toys. Viewers also cheer the frame rail that doubles as a fuel tank, and the persistence of Wade, who very much wanted to beat the donk.

It was the only upload of the week, and it opened with more than 220,000 views on its first day. Older videos are still working too: September's "The CLS has been an unbearable monstrosity." is near 800,000 views, and the five-month-old cheese-for-engine-oil experiment keeps finding people.

The channel as a whole ran slower than usual, adding about 1,000 subscribers. Among similarly sized car channels, it sat in the middle of the group by views gained. Top Gear Classic and Sparks Motors had the busy weeks, while Speed Academy and Zip Tie Tuning were quieter.
