Video taking off 41x its usual first day

A reporter asks Trump why he posted Tom Cotton's phone number to Truth Social

Forbes Breaking News' clip from a Saturday press gaggle ran far ahead of everything else from that gaggle, and its comment section spent much of its time on daylight saving time.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 560,870 views a day, 41 times a normal first day on this channel (13,681).

Forbes Breaking News pulled one question out of President Trump's Saturday press gaggle and gave it its own upload: a reporter asking him, point blank in the channel's words, why he had posted the phone number of Sen. Tom Cotton, the Arkansas Republican, on Truth Social. The description leaves the answer to the clip itself.

Seven hours after it went up, the clip had passed 225,000 views. That is a long way from this channel's usual first day, and from its neighbors on the page. Trump's remarks on oil prices, cut from the same gaggle, drew a few thousand views. So did Pete Hegseth's Air Force Academy appearance, posted the same day. It also came during a slower stretch for the channel's daily views overall.

The comments, more than a thousand of them in those first hours, did not stay on the phone number. A large share turned to daylight saving time. Viewers repeat a line about people running around their houses changing clocks, which suggests the gaggle wandered onto the subject. Several remember the 1970s attempt at year-round daylight time and children waiting for school buses in the dark. A few simply say they would gladly see the clock changes go.

On a channel that posts clip after clip from Washington, this one question about a senator's phone was the one people opened.
