Gravy wrestling, Spider-Man and 'The Barfly': Big Nibbles enters a championship

Four of the week's six uploads come from the World Gravy Wrestling Championship, where Big Nibbles fought in costume as The Barfly and came away vowing revenge.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Did the Sonic Curry finish him off? That is the question at the top of the comments under "Scotland Deep Fries Pizza," and the answer is a cheerful no. Two weeks after "5 Year Expired Sonic Curry," the self-described most unhinged food creator turned up in Scotland to taste its famous habit of dropping things in the fryer, and viewers answered with their own stories of deep fried Mars bars and pizza crunch from Scottish chippies.

The rest of the week was gravy, a lot of it. Big Nibbles entered the World Gravy Wrestling Championship, and the full video walks through the whole adventure in chapters: becoming "The Barfly," testing the gravy, meeting the referee, advice from veterans of the pit, a signature move called the Dead Fly Kick and a costume contest he files under robbery. The main event pitted the Barfly against an opponent dressed as Spider-Man. The description admits that winning the title is considerably harder than it looks, and the last chapter is called "Salty Defeat & The Promise of Revenge." Shorter cuts followed, asking what wrestling gravy tastes like and whether Spider-Man is any good at it.

The curry itself has not gone anywhere. At thirteen days old and past five million views, it is still the channel's busiest video by a distance, with the pizza short and "Americans Eat Really Weird" behind it. Overall the channel is running slower than its usual pace right now.

Among food channels of a similar size, Breanna Stark is having the big week, running above her usual pace, while Louis Howard and Ahmad Noori are close to theirs.
