Chef Ian, a coke-off and Hot Dad: 'WENDY'S VS BURGER KING' keeps cooking
The fifteen-day-old brutalfoods episode closes with a song from Hot Dad and is nearing 900,000 views, while nothing new went up on the channel.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
WENDY'S VS BURGER KING
Nothing new went up on brutalmoose over the past seven days, and the channel ran on its brutalfoods back catalog instead. The video doing most of the work is "WENDY'S VS BURGER KING," fifteen days old and closing in on 900,000 views.
It is a classic Chef Ian outing, the persona the channel's editor puts on whenever fast food needs judging. The chapters lay out the card: a coke-off, a french fry round, burgers, a chicken sandwich round and then two more rounds of chicken, one titled simply "chicken chicken chicken." The description promises that Chef Ian is happier than ever, with a question mark in brackets that suggests otherwise. As in the Arby's episode from June, the finale belongs to Hot Dad, credited for singing and, in the description's words, gyrating.
Last year's "HALLOWEEN JUNK FOOD FEAST" is the second busiest video right now, nearly a year old. Its menu of pumpkin Goldfish, spicy zombie snacks, fake and real gummy worms and a segment named after MrBeast sounds made for October, so perhaps it is simply in season again.
Without a new upload, daily views sat about a third below the channel's usual pace. Among the food channels nearest its size, the week's crowds gathered at ahnestkitchen and Antojitos LindaMar, while brutalmoose kept its pans warm on reruns. For a channel whose about page reads, in full, "A video editor editing videos," the editing is clearly still paying off.
