Hwei's paintbrush and a Warring Kingdoms teaser on Wild Rift's official channel

Riot's mobile League channel asked its Hwei players for their favorite combos, and the replies came back as button strings and champion wish lists.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Hwei arrived on the Rift on September 22, the same day as Patch 7.3, which the trailer calls the final act of the year. Riot's mobile League of Legends channel has spent the time since with its newest champion, the painter mage who fights with brush and palette.

The week's main upload is a short with a simple question in its title: where are the Hwei mains, and what is their favorite combo? It drew about 12,700 views on its first day and is now the channel's busiest video. The replies read like a notebook of button sequences, from strings of Q, W and E to one viewer whose whole answer is the ultimate. The most liked thread argues that Hwei is not the hardest champion around and nominates Aphelios for that title instead. Plenty of others ignored the question and used the space to ask for their own favorites, with Yorick, LeBlanc, Illaoi and Karthus all on the wish lists.

Behind it, the Patch 7.3 "Center Stage" trailer and the Hwei champion overview keep ticking over at twelve and eighteen days old. A second post, "Legends are forged in battle. Choose your Warring Kingdom", went up on Sunday and was only an hour old at last look.

The channel ran a little below its usual daily pace, with subscribers holding at 1.05 million. Among game publisher and esports channels of its size it sits in the middle by subscribers, while VALORANT Champions Tour had by far the biggest week of the group.
