Guests who can't drink water near a million for Very Important People

Dropout's improv interview show posted one new short, Princess Emily's Skörfinn dance lesson, complete with splits.

One short, one princess. Very Important People, the Dropout show where comedians get a full makeover and then sit for a completely improvised interview with host Vic Michaelis, put out a single new clip this week: "Princess Emily Teaches Vic a New Skörfinn Dance."

The premise is simple and the execution is not. Princess Emily, of the invented realm of Skörfinn, walks Vic through a royal dance, and the clip's own description sets up the joke that it would all be better with music. Viewers keep coming back to the same few moments: a split pulled off with startling ease, Vic's sage line that sometimes doing the splits is trying your best, an awkward burp, and a shimmy that one commenter compares to a household appliance. Several people also name Anna Garcia as the comedian under the crown. It passed 50,000 views in under a week.

The busiest thing on the channel is older. "The Best of Very Important People Guests Not Knowing How To Drink Water," three weeks old, is closing in on a million views, a compilation of characters who apparently never mastered the sip. "Vic BREAKS Boris," from the summer and nearly three million views deep, is still finding people too.

Overall the channel ran close to its usual daily pace, gathering roughly 2.75 million views over the week. Among talk show and late night channels near its size, only Good Morning Britain added more, while Conan O'Brien, TODAY and LADbible Entertainment all ran well below their usual levels.
