Taylor Swift in 2012, Red just out, back on The Jonathan Ross Show

The archive interview from October 2012 sits beside a new compilation of Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Olivia Colman and David Attenborough telling stories off script.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

What do you post when the studio lights are off? On The Jonathan Ross Show's official channel, you open the archive. The week brought two uploads, and both looked backward.

The first is Taylor Swift, from an episode that aired on October 6, 2012, the same month Red came out. Jonathan asks her about Swifties, Paris Fashion Week, songwriting and heartbreak, and about the story behind "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Some viewers in the small comment section admit they thought it was a brand new interview, an easy mistake with a pop star who has kept returning to that album since.

The second, posted on Saturday, is a compilation called "Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Will Ferrell & More Screen Icons Off Script." It runs from Gillian Anderson on The X-Files and Olivia Colman on Broadchurch to Will Ferrell on Anchorman and Sir David Attenborough, whose segment comes from much later in the show's run. It is the faster of the two by a long way. Ten days on, Kurt Russell and Tim Roth's account of the guitar from The Hateful Eight set is still drawing a steady crowd too.

The channel as a whole ran a little above its usual daily pace. Among similar talk channels, that is a gentle bright spot: Good Morning Britain, Conan O'Brien, TODAY and Lorraine all sat well under their usual level, while Very Important People held steady and stayed the busiest of the group.
