A student section calls out Allen and North Crowley, and Quarterback Plug films it

The week's only upload passed 400,000 views in its first day, while a month-old North Crowley short has gone past six million.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Quarterback Plug posted just one short this week, and it is built on a dare. "This Team just put ALLEN on Upset Alert 🚨😳" catches a high school crowd naming two of the biggest programs in Texas football: Allen, the suburban Dallas powerhouse with a long shelf of state titles, and North Crowley, the Fort Worth school that viewers keep calling Funky Town.

The short drew about 400,000 views in its first day. The comments are mostly about the nerve of it. The most liked one calls the idea of naming both schools bold, and plenty of others joke that the student section is louder than the team it cheers for. Several viewers have already started writing the scoreboard for a game nobody has scheduled.

North Crowley was already a familiar name here. "It's NOT SAFE to Play Against this Team 😳 North Crowley is SCARY," posted a month ago, has passed six million views and still collects tens of thousands of them a day. Last week's school spirit question is still busy too, which suggests the channel's audience likes the stands as much as the snaps.

The channel moved a little slower than its usual pace, though it still added around 10,000 subscribers over the seven days. Among American sports creators of its size, it gathered the most views this week, ahead of Coach Schuman and The Baseball Bat Bros, both also below their own usual pace. Broadcast Boys was the exception in the group, running well above its normal week.
