A hot mic, Grant Delpit's pick and Aaron Rodgers' Thursday night for Mikerophone

The short on Rodgers and Mike McCarthy's sideline shouting match in Cleveland passed half a million views inside its first day, out of fifteen uploads across a crowded NFL week.

Mikerophone, the football channel with 1.12 million subscribers, spent fifteen uploads on a week when the NFL kept handing him material. The one that took off came out of Thursday Night Football. In Cleveland, Aaron Rodgers was caught on a hot mic cursing at his head coach Mike McCarthy, and McCarthy answered in kind. Then, down three with ten seconds left, Rodgers missed DK Metcalf open across the middle, and Grant Delpit intercepted the heave to seal a 27-24 Browns win. The short packs in the sacks, the comeback to tie it and Andre Szmyt's 56-yard field goal, and it passed half a million views in under a day.

Its comments mostly replay that final play. The most liked replies point out it was not the only time Metcalf went unseen, and one viewer compares the Rodgers-McCarthy reunion, the pair who won a Super Bowl together in Green Bay, to remarrying an ex.

The rest of the week leaned on the Giants. J.J. McCarthy went from Minnesota to New York for a fifth-round pick and got both a short and a longer video, while Odell Beckham Jr.'s release after three games and zero catches got two of its own. In the description of the Beckham short, Mike promises to own it if a team signs him this week.

The freshest uploads are the busiest right now: a day-old piece on Tony Romo's exit from CBS, and a short on Cam Ward struggling to find the Titans' rookie Carnell Tate.

Across the channel, daily views are running at about a third of their usual pace. That puts him in plenty of company, since Coach Schuman, The Baseball Bat Bros and Adam Botkin are all well below their usual levels too. Broadcast Boys is the exception, more than doubling its normal day.
