Diesel smoke and wheel spin: Supercar Blondie's "You Can't Get More Redneck Than This!"
A six-day-old Short credited to Redneck Diesel Performance has come alive late, and its comments are full of jokes about an engine that seems to have a truck attached.
Why this story? The video is running at 116,288 views a day, 10 times its usual pace (11,523).
You Can't Get More Redneck Than This! 😍
Late, but loud. "You Can't Get More Redneck Than This! 😍" went up on October 2 and spent its first day like an ordinary Supercar Blondie Short, with around 21,000 views. Six days on, it is moving at roughly ten times its usual daily pace and has passed 176,000 views.
The footage comes from someone else's garage. The description credits Redneck Diesel Performance, and as with most of the channel's Shorts, Alex Hirschi's team presents the clip with a voiceover. The comments suggest a lot of engine and a lot of smoke. Viewers joke that the engine has a nice truck attached, call it big rig horsepower and say the wheel spin sounds like it had beans for lunch. One thinks it belongs in a Cleetus McFarland burnout contest. Another, an Australian trucker, simply wants one. A long reply thread grows under one viewer's point that a truck smoking like this would get fined in California.
The narration gets its own fan. One viewer says it sounds just like the narrator of a Dukes of Hazzard game he played some 25 years ago, which suits a clip with this title.
It is a week of odd machines on the channel: a petrol-powered couch, a weed-wacker Ford, a Jimny in the back of a van, and a self-cleaning toilet that drew a big crowd of its own. The channel as a whole is running a little under its usual pace, as are most of the large car channels near its size. That makes a Short from last week, smoking away, one of the busiest things Supercar Blondie has right now.
