Powa, DooDoo and a maybe-book: Mike Pfeiffer's ten preps list
The Colorado overlander's only upload of the week detours early into a question for viewers: should he write a book?
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
10 Preps You Need To Do Right Now, For Real.
A usual day on Mike Pfeiffer's channel brings in around 14,000 views. Lately it has been closer to half that, which makes his one new upload stand out all the more: "10 Preps You Need To Do Right Now, For Real." passed 22,000 views in its first day and keeps moving faster than anything else on the shelf.
The list counts down in his own spelling. Number ten is "Powa," followed by defense, comms, evacuation, meds and fire. Four is "DooDoo," then "Eats" and "Wata," and the top spot goes to what the chapters call "The Main Killa," with a bonus zero on the end. The description adds that the radio devices he shows can be re-flashed to run mesh networks such as Meshtastic or MeshCore.
The detour that took over the comments comes early, in a chapter titled "Writing A Book... Maybe." Viewers answered as if he had asked for a show of hands. Paper, Kindle, audiobook: each format has its supporters, and one viewer argues that a physical library is a prep in its own right. Another swaps beans for red lentils, because they cook in the same pot as rice. Someone else simply admits to missing September, which suits a video about doing it now.
For a channel built on gear tested at campsites in the Rockies, the camping checklist from two weeks earlier is still drawing steady interest, gummy bears chapter and all. Subscribers held at 442,000. Most of the car and motoring channels near its size ran under their usual pace too, while STRAD had a week well above its own.

Oooops... missed September, my bad.
@LastLineOfDefenseSee it on YouTubeTip for survival food, rather than beans store lentils, I like red lentils. Lentils reqire the same amount of water and cook time as rice, so you can cook them in the same pot at the same time. They also benefit from the same compound nutrients profile as beans when combined with rice.

For the book, I would definitely release a physical version and digital version. I think having a physical library is a prep of its own. Knowledge and information that cannot be corrupted or alerted like online sources can.
@zacharyraydSee it on YouTubeI love print but usually have an easier time reading on kindle or listening while driving. Write the book!
