The Angry Birds Movie 3 | Official Trailer 2 (2026 Movie)

Red has saved the island twice. Getting his family through spaghetti night looks less straightforward. Paramount Pictures' second trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3 starts with domestic chaos before adding an island-threatening emergency and, briefly, Sonic the Hedgehog.

That last arrival is getting plenty of attention. Around 1:46, Chuck runs alongside Sonic, a crossover the trailer drops into the action without explaining. Viewers are comparing the two characters' animation styles, joking about Sonic running into another movie and wondering how much screen time he will actually get. The trailer confirms the appearance, but not its place in the story.

The upload reached about 4.6 million views in 14 hours, far beyond the channel's usual start for videos of this length. Its comment section is also much busier than a typical first day, with Sonic dominating the conversation.

There is a family adventure around that cameo. Red's ambition to be a great dad takes him through school drop-offs, band practice and a party thrown by Bomb and Chuck. Then an emergency alert warns of the island's destruction, sending Red and his family across icy terrain to help save it together.

The trailer's billing includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom and Danny McBride, and promises new music from JISOO. Paramount lists a December 23 theatrical release: Red's next rescue mission comes with the children along.
