Ultron moves back into Vision's head as VisionQuest's trailer races past five million
Paul Bettany's White Vision and James Spader's Ultron share the last chapter of the WandaVision trilogy, and the comment section has turned into a stand-up night.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 7,542,165 views a day, 101 times a normal first day on this channel (74,344).
Marvel Television’s VisionQuest | Official Trailer
How big a welcome did Marvel's synthezoid get? Twelve hours after it went up, the official trailer for Marvel Television's VisionQuest had passed five million views. A new video on Marvel Entertainment usually reaches well under a hundred thousand in its whole first day.
The description bills the series as the final Vision of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along, and it names October 14 as the day it starts on Disney+. Paul Bettany is back as the pale, rebuilt White Vision. James Spader returns as Ultron, the robot who, in Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015, was the reason Vision exists at all.
That old pairing is what viewers are talking about. The most liked comment quotes back the "born yesterday" exchange the two had in that film, and dozens of others riff on the idea of Ultron living in Vision's head, which here seems to be meant quite literally. Others spot Tommy, one of Wanda's twin sons, in the footage, or point out that Bettany has been in the franchise since he voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. in the first Iron Man and is now the lead of his own show.
Marvel has spent the week building up to this. The same day, the channel posted the first three episodes of WandaVision in full, and the first one drew about 170,000 views, a fraction of the trailer's crowd.

Vision: "Yes, and the rent is due."@Aditijana-g8nSee it on YouTubeIt's hilarious that Paul Bettany started this franchise doing maybe two days of simple voice work in a booth while probably wearing sweats and Crocs and 20-ish years later is the lead in a limited series with multiple makeup looks, costume changes and stunts
