Elizabeth Gilbert's 'All the Way to the River' brings a MarieTV conversation back

The only upload of the seven days revisits Marie Forleo's talk with Liz Gilbert to mark the book's paperback release.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Marie Forleo's one new upload of the week was a rerun with a reason. Elizabeth Gilbert's All the Way to the River came out in paperback, and Marie marked the day by bringing back her conversation with Liz, which she describes as full of reminders about trusting yourself and following what feels true. Gilbert has been a natural MarieTV guest for years: the author of Eat, Pray, Love and Big Magic writes about creativity and inner permission in much the same key Marie talks about business.

The celebration stayed small. The video opened with about 450 views on its first day, a gentle start for a channel past a million subscribers.

The episode doing more of the work is twelve days old. In "She Studied Neuroscience at Brown. Then She Began Channeling Jesus." Marie sits down with Carissa Schumacher, a psychic medium with a Brown neuroscience degree and a new book, The Alchemy Transmissions. The description pitches it to believers and skeptics alike, as a talk about intuition, outgrowing a chapter of life and letting go without blowing everything up. It is still picking up more viewers each day than anything else on the channel.

Overall the channel ran slower than usual, at about two thirds of its normal daily pace, and the subscriber count held where it was. Among self-improvement channels of a similar size it sat sixth of eight for views gained, while Robert Greene had the big week. Brendon Burchard, at exactly the same subscriber count, had a quieter stretch of his own.
