Gordon Ramsay spits out chef Sandra's carbonara on Hell's Kitchen

Food Club's short of one very salty plate has the comments arguing about pasta water, and about how much salt a carbonara ever needs.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 85,927 views a day, 14 times a normal first day on this channel (6,010).

One forkful was enough. In the newest Hell's Kitchen short on Food Club, chef Sandra sends up a carbonara, Gordon Ramsay tastes it, and it comes straight back out of his mouth. The description is blunt about why: the pasta was far too salty.

Food Club is FOX's food channel, a home for clips from MasterChef, Next Level Chef and Hell's Kitchen, and its season 25 shorts usually open quietly, at around 6,000 views on a first day. This one drew about 86,000 in its first 24 hours, and its comment section filled about four times faster than usual.

Most of that talk is a kitchen argument. According to several commenters, a teammate warned her the sauce was a little salty, and her fix was to loosen it with pasta water. Some call that the mistake, since salted cooking water only adds more. Others insist pasta water alone could never do this much damage, and one points out that the cheese brings plenty of salt on its own. A recurring question is simply how a cook sends out a plate without tasting it first, and a few viewers recall a pasta mishap from an earlier season.

Carbonara keeps turning up on the channel. In a newer clip, chef Jeyda slows the red team's pasta station while she struggles to separate egg whites from yolks.
