Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy’s Yacht Rock Samba | Dancing with the Stars
"Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy's Yacht Rock Samba" is the clip Dancing with the Stars viewers kept coming back to this week. It is a samba to Toto's "Africa," and it passed 290,000 views in three days on the show's official channel.
Yacht Rock Night filled most of the fifteen uploads. Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach foxtrotted to "Just the Two of Us," Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold took Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere," Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik quickstepped to "Maneater," and Taylor Hanson, of the brothers behind "MMMBop," danced a foxtrot with Britt Stewart to the Doobie Brothers' "What a Fool Believes." The fourth episode of the official podcast, a breakdown of the night, is among the channel's busiest videos too.
Dewan's comment section is lively. The most liked replies argue that the judges are tough on her precisely because she is so good, and many viewers say the dance was underscored. A popular thread admits it cannot find the mishap Carrie Ann Inaba pointed out, and Val's hair gets almost as much attention as the samba. One viewer would rather have heard traditional samba music than another theme night. Another remembers her from Step Up and is now going back through all her dances, which makes sense: she starred in that 2006 dance film opposite Channing Tatum.
The channel as a whole ran at well above its usual daily pace, and over seven days it gained more views than any of the talent and reality channels around its size. RuPaul's Drag Race also had a lively week, while Ink Master ran a little quieter than usual.

@katelynmariee1See it on YouTubeThe judges are so picky on her because they know she is superb. I’m actually glad that they are because she is going to work on those little things and then she will be giving us some of the best performances we have ever seen at the latter half of the show
