Nicole Paige Brooks From Atlanta, GA 👑 | Portrait of a Queen
The official RuPaul's Drag Race channel marked the start of LGBTQ+ History Month with a single queen. Both of its new uploads went up on October 1, and both belong to Nicole Paige Brooks of Atlanta, Georgia.
The main one, "Nicole Paige Brooks From Atlanta, GA 👑 | Portrait of a Queen," is a sit-down look back at her life. She covers her childhood, how she found drag, and her two runs on the show, first on Season 2 in 2010 and then on All Stars 10. The description says she shares her thoughts on "those points," which fans of All Stars scoring will understand at once. It passed 36,000 views in its first twelve hours. A shorter companion cut, "Nicole Paige Brooks Reflects on Her Childhood and Therapy," takes the most personal part of the conversation and gives it room of its own.
Away from the new portrait, the library keeps doing its own work. A short from Season 6, "NOT THAT WIG!?", built around Adore Delano, has passed a million views and is still collecting a couple of thousand a day.
The channel as a whole ran a little under its usual daily pace, in line with most of the talent and reality channels near its size. Dancing With The Stars is the exception, drawing several times its normal daily views while its new season is on air.
