Ezra Frech, Paralympic champion, foxtrots to 'Just the Two of Us'

His Yacht Rock night routine with Daniella Karagach ran well ahead of the evening's other foxtrots, and the comments keep returning to one arabesque and to scores they felt were too low.

Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach’s Yacht Rock Foxtrot | Dancing with the Stars

Ezra Frech is used to being measured in centimeters. The American high jumper won Paralympic gold in Paris in 2024. On Dancing with the Stars he is judged on lines and footwork, and the foxtrot he danced with Daniella Karagach on Yacht Rock night is drawing a crowd.

In just under a day the clip passed 130,000 views, about thirteen times what a new video on the show's channel usually gathers on its first day. Among the other foxtrots from the same night, Taylor Hanson's to The Doobie Brothers and Connor Wood's to Fleetwood Mac both sit at around half that. Of the Yacht Rock clips posted beside it, only Jenna Dewan's samba to "Africa" is ahead.

The song is "Just the Two of Us," Grover Washington Jr.'s smooth 1981 hit with Bill Withers on vocals. The show's arrangement has its own fans: one thread asks for a full-length version.

The routine is what most comments are about, though. Viewers single out an arabesque, the rise and fall Frech manages on his prosthetic leg, and the way Karagach builds each dance around what her partner does best. Several describe the pair as a big sister and her little brother. Another strand of the comments keeps asking why the judges did not hand out a single 8.
