Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa’s Super Bowl Night Jazz | Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars gave its Super Bowl Night playlist plenty of Latin rhythm, but Julia Stiles brought a different kind of throwback. Her jazz routine with Ezra Sosa has become the week's most-watched new upload, and the comments keep circling back to Save the Last Dance.

Stiles played aspiring dancer Sara in that 2001 film, opposite Sean Patrick Thomas as Derek. Beneath the new performance, viewers recognize Thomas in the crowd, point to gestures they associate with the movie and talk about putting it on again. Others focus on Sosa's choreography, particularly the space it gives Stiles to dance on her own.

That solo is a concrete part of the routine: after synchronized chair choreography and traveling hip-hop movements, Sosa steps back while Stiles takes center stage for floor work. Their soundtrack is Jennifer Lopez's "Jenny From The Block [Track Masters remix]," featuring Jadakiss and Styles P.

Elsewhere in the new lineup, Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson salsa to Bad Bunny's "Tití Me Preguntó," while Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov tackle a samba to J Balvin and Willy William's "Mi Gente." Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson get Usher's "Yeah!" Stiles' clip remains the channel's busiest daily draw, followed by Glenn's and Rodriguez's performances.

Across the channel, the week brought roughly six million views, the largest weekly audience among the nearby reality and talent-show channels. Subscribers held steady, though the current daily viewing pace is about half its usual level. Within that slower daily rhythm, Stiles' chair-kicking jazz number is doing the most work.
