Season 3 cold opens and Michael Scott's worst management for Comedy Bites
Both of the clips channel's new uploads come from The Office, and its whole catalog is running a little above its usual daily pace.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Every Cold Open From Season 3 | The Office | Comedy Bites
Comedy Bites spent the week in Scranton. The clips channel, which cuts favorite moments from NBC comedies such as The Office, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, posted two videos, and both belong to Dunder Mifflin.
The first, "Every Cold Open From Season 3 | The Office | Comedy Bites," collects the short scenes that ran before the theme song in the show's third year, the one that brought Andy Bernard to the Scranton branch. It has passed 40,000 views. Its commenters are replaying lines: Dwight risking Stanley's temper to save his life, a search for a cheaper baby, and Andy's "tuna" stuck in someone's head.
The second, "Michael Scott's Leadership Failures in Season 2," went up on Monday and is already picking up views faster than anything else on the channel. The description bills it as a lesson in how not to manage an office, with Steve Carell's regional manager turning routine HR matters into small disasters. A nine-day-old reel of Season 3 scenes "you definitely need to rewatch" is close behind and has gathered more than 116,000 views.
Across the whole catalog, the channel drew close to two million views in seven days, a little above its usual rhythm, while the subscriber count held at 616,000. Among movie and TV clip channels of similar size it is a middling week. 唐司令说电影 and Tina Kelch both ran at roughly double their usual pace. Amanda the Jedi was quieter than normal.
