Krypto's super friends and a shoe phone keep Warner's comedy vault busy

Four new clips went up, from Fist Fight's parking-lot brawl to Michael Keaton under questioning in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, but two September uploads did the heavy lifting.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

ClipZone: Comedy Callbacks is Warner Bros.' own home for funny movie scenes, and its four new uploads came straight from the studio's shelves. The parking-lot showdown from Fist Fight led them, with Charlie Day's mild English teacher finally squaring up to Ice Cube's feared Strickland on the last day of school. In the comments, viewers recast it in their own terms: one sees a Luigi-versus-Superfly matchup, another sends fans of Three O'Clock High and Fight Club its way. A short cut of the same brawl followed two days later.

The other two picks lean toward October. Corpse Bride brings Johnny Depp's Victor fumbling his wedding vows, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has Michael Keaton's ghost being grilled by Willem Dafoe's actor-turned-detective, Wolf Jackson, over the death of his ex-wife. Two days in, the Keaton clip is already the quickest of the new batch.

The real momentum sits further back. A 19-day-old scene from DC League of Super-Pets, where Krypto's friends, Kevin Hart's Ace among them, arrive for the final battle while Keanu Reeves's Batman still resents a chew toy, is drawing the most daily views on the channel. Close behind is Steve Carell's shoe-phone escape in Get Smart, the 2008 film built on the Mel Brooks and Buck Henry series, with Dwayne Johnson turning up in both.

The channel ran a touch above its usual pace and added about 3,000 subscribers, landing squarely mid-table among movie clip channels of its size. The Chinese edits channel 唐司令说电影 had the big week there, roughly doubling its usual daily views.
