Lanterns Episode 8 BREAKDOWN Full Episode - Spoilers! Ending Explained!
A regular video on Beyond The Trailer usually collects about two hundred comments on its first day. Grace Randolph's breakdown of the Lanterns season finale passed 1,400 in the same span, while its views stayed close to what her videos normally draw.
Lanterns is the HBO series from DC Studios that brings Hal Jordan and John Stewart to the screen, with Kyle Chandler as Hal and Aaron Pierre as John. Episode 8 closes the season, and her description lays out the turns she walks through: Sinestro making a green and yellow lantern, Noah confirmed as a Manhunter, John Stewart facing Guy Gardner, and Sheriff Kerry Kane killing Hal Jordan.
That last turn is the one the comments keep coming back to. Many viewers ask why the sheriff faces no consequences, and several note the irony that the show's villains seemed the most concerned with Hal's well-being. Another long thread is about what never appears on screen: a Green Lantern finale with almost no ring constructs and no costume, and John still waiting for the ring to choose him. Others object that Noah breaking Sinestro out is explained rather than shown. Plenty of praise goes to the actor who played Noah for turning creepy.
The finale landed in a busy DC week on the channel. A day later Randolph was back with the completed Skydance merger of Paramount and Warner Bros., James Gunn staying at DC Studios and The Batman Part II slipping again.
